Operation London Bridge - Don't get caught out!

Hampshire County Council has recently had to apologise after mistakenly publishing a notice on their website stating that Prince Philip had died in what has been blamed on an "internal error."

Many parish and town councils are preparing a plan for the death of a monarch. You probably read the excellent article by Philip Peacock, Town Clerk to Huntington Town Council in the November edition of the SLCC Clerk Magazine. In his article Philip (Peacock) mentioned that you should "Be prepared with suitable words to put on your website."

Please be aware however that if you pre-prepare any text on your website that it must be hidden from search engines and not be visible until such time as it is required to be visible.

We have worked with Huntingdon Town Council to further develop our 'Pop-Over' element to allow it to operate in 'mourning' mode. If you are interested in learning more about our product UKLC (UK Local Councils) then please feel free to get in touch.
