How Local Councils Can Be More Effective Online

Ray Smith, our Strategy & Development Director will be facilitating a workshop for parish and town councils to explore ways of improving their online presence.

Central government has set out its 'digital by default' strategy which outlines; how making everyday transactions with public services will be easier and cheaper online. Government figures estimate that moving services online can save around £1.2bn by 2015.

Attend this workshop if you are interested in investigating how your council can become 'digital by default'.

  • Does your council have a digital strategy?
  • Does your website contribute to your digital strategy?
  • Are you making best use of social media?

This interactive workshop will explore how to set about producing a digital strategy, what should be included and considerations that need to be made.

Attendees will qualify for a £100 discount if they later purchase a UK Local Councils (UKLC) website.

The event will be held at the Northants CALC offices in Litchborough on December 3rd 2013, for more information and to book your place visit their website.

Councils outside of Northamptonshire are welcome to attend.
